This course covers the fundamentals of operating systems, including OS structure, process management, CPU scheduling, synchronization, and deadlock handling. Students will also learn about memory management techniques like paging and segmentation, as well as disk scheduling methods.

Project-Based.Project will be a group task but submission will be on an individual basis. There can be a maximum of 3 students in a group, who will be assigned different modules of the same project.Non-submission of the project report on UMS will result in 0 marks.

MCQ based. There will be a total of 30 questions, with each question carrying 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
