This course develops skills in malware analysis and cyber defence through static and dynamic analysis, assembly and disassembly, malicious binary debugging, malware persistence, code injection, hooking, and obfuscation techniques. It also covers memory forensics, advanced malware detection, malware hunting, and defence strategies.

BYOD-Practical consisting of 1 practical question of 30 marks, including practical execution, report, and viva.

Practical-based task involving static and dynamic analysis of a given malware sample and preparation of a detailed report.

Subjective test covering the syllabus from CA1 and CA2.

To test students' subject knowledge and provide an opportunity to improve their CA performance in case of low marks or a missed CA.
