This course covers matrix algebra, linear differential equations, Fourier series, multivariate calculus, and integral calculus. It develops students' ability to solve systems of linear equations, differential equations, and problems involving multi-variable derivatives, surface integrals, and volume integrals.

Test 1 50%

elementary operations and their use in getting the rank, inverse of a matrix and solution of linear simultaneous equations, Eigen-values and Eigenvectors of a matrix, Cayley-Hamilton theorem, introduction to linear differential equation, solution of linear differential equation, linear dependence and linear independence of solution, method of solution of linear differential equation differential operator, solution of second order homogeneous linear differential equation with constant coefficient, solution of higher order homogeneous linear differential equations with constant coefficients, solution of non-homogeneous linear differential equations with constant coefficients using operator method.

To evaluate the conceptual clarity of the students in Matrix Algebra and Linear Differential Equations using a subjective test of 30 marks.

Test 2 50%

introduction and Euler's formulae, conditions for a Fourier expansion and functions having points of discontinuity, change of interval, even and odd functions, half range series

Rubric
To evaluate the conceptual clarity of the students about Unit IV using subjective test of 30 marks.

Test 3 50%

Subjective questions can be asked from the syllabus of CA1 and CA2.

Week 12 / 13

Rubric
It is intended for students who missed either CA-I or CA-II, or for those who wish to improve their performance in either component.
