This subject develops analytical and problem-solving skills across number systems, averages, percentages, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, alligation and mixtures, permutation and combination, probability, syllogisms, blood relations, direction sense, and data interpretation. It focuses on solving placement and competitive-test questions accurately within a given time.

20 MCQ type questions would be asked covering topics from Lecture No. 1 to 9. Duration of the first CA is 30 minutes and 25% negative marking will be imposed for every incorrect answer.
