Biomechanics applies principles of mechanics, stress-strain analysis, and fluid mechanics to study the structure and function of bones, cartilage, skeletal muscle, joints, and blood in the human body for solving biomedical engineering problems.

Best 2 of 3 CAs will be considered for evaluation.

For the assessment three questions will be given, each question carries equal marks from Unit 1 and 2.

To understand the principles of mechanics applicable to analyse human biomechanics and understand the biomechanics of bones and cartilages

Assignment - Review based 50%

To assess students' technical and analytical skills, each student will prepare a review-based paper or propose a patent idea. The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: Problem Statement (05 marks), Concept (05 marks), Writing Skills (05 marks), Working Principle and Operation (05 marks), Applications (05 marks), and Recent Developments (05 marks).

Rubric
To compile a comprehensive review of the assigned topic that can be developed into a research paper or patent.

Test 2 50%

Subjective test covering the syllabus of CA1 and CA2.
