This subject covers conventional and modern cryptography, symmetric-key and public-key algorithms, hashing, digital signatures, key distribution, and security mechanisms across TCP/IP layers. It also examines attacks on wireless ad hoc networks and applies cryptographic techniques through practical programming exercises.

Test 1 50%

Test 1 will be based on syllabus covered till lecture 14; 4 questions will be there (two 10 marks and two 5 marks).

Week 3 / 5

Rubric
To evaluate the performance of the students on the basis of syllabus covered.

Test 2 50%

Test 2 will be conducted in lecture 29 covering all the practicals. One practical-based question will be given, with 15 marks for practical evaluation and 15 marks for viva.

Week 9 / 10

Rubric
To test practical knowledge of every student individually using C/C++/Java/Python language.

Test 3 50%

Test 3 will be based on syllabus covered till lecture 35; 4 questions will be there (two 10 marks and two 5 marks).

Week 11 / 12

To evaluate the performance of the students on the basis of syllabus covered.
