This practical course develops students' abilities in good laboratory practices, biosafety, sterilization, microscopy, microbial counting, culture purification, staining, growth analysis, biochemical characterization, and antibiotic sensitivity testing.

The academic task 1 will be evaluated based on Experiment 1 to Experiment 5. The practical examination will consist of five questions, with one question drawn from each of Practicals 1–5. Each question will carry 10 marks, making a total of 50 marks.
