Crime Scene Investigation introduces students to the concepts of crime scene safety, processing, documentation, searching techniques, the role of physical evidence in investigation and reconstruction, and legal provisions relating to forensic science under the new Indian laws.

Skill Based Assignment 50%

Students will be assessed on following parameters: i. Understanding of topic and content - 10 marks; ii. Crime scene management - 10 marks; iii. Interpretation and report - 10 marks.

Students will be able to define and differentiate between types of crime scenes (indoor, outdoor, primary, secondary).

Test 1 50%

Students will undertake an individual written test covering Units IV to VI. The test will assess their understanding on various types of evidence commonly found at crime scenes and identify their significance.

Test 2 50%

Subjective test covering syllabus from CA1 and CA2.

Week 12 / 13

Rubric
To test the subject knowledge of the students and provide opportunity to improve their CA performance in case of low marks or any missed CA.
