COMMUNICATION SKILLS

This course focuses on acquiring competence in effective oral communication skills in academic and professional settings and composing clear and coherent written texts. It also aims to develop strong personal and professional communication strategies, including non-verbal cues and group communication skills.

Each student will prepare and deliver an individual presentation on an assigned or approved academic/topic-based theme. The presentation should be clear, well-organized, and supported with relevant content. Visual aids such as slides, charts, or props may be used to enhance delivery. The time limit for each presentation will be 5-7 minutes including Q and A.

The 30-mark LSRW test will assess students' proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing through a balanced format: Listening (5 marks) with short audio-based comprehension tasks, Speaking (5 marks) involving brief individual responses or topic-based presentations, Reading (10 marks) with short passage-based questions, and Writing (10 marks) requiring a short paragraph, email, or opinion-based response.
