This course develops proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core for building MVC applications and RESTful Web APIs. It covers object-oriented programming, Razor views, model binding and validation, middleware, dependency injection, authentication and authorization, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, CRUD operations, and API testing with Postman.

Best 2 of 3 CAs will be considered for evaluation.
Project 50%

Develop a responsive ASP.NET Core MVC application by recreating the interface of a given real-world website. This is a project-based assessment evaluated for a total of 30 marks.

Week 3 / 12

Rubric
10 marks for the project presentation, 5 marks for the viva voce, 5 marks for the project report, 5 marks for code semantics and quality, and 5 marks for the user interface design and implementation.

Visual Implementation 50%

Design and develop a responsive ASP.NET Core MVC application that replicates the interface and functionality of a real-world website by applying the concepts learned in the course.

Week 4 / 5

Rubric
15 marks for the written submission, 10 marks for code implementation, and 5 marks for the viva, for a total of 30 marks.

Test - Code based 50%

Apply C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server to solve programming and application-development problems. The assessment is a code-based MCQ examination consisting of 30 questions covering backend development using ASP.NET Core.

Rubric
Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer, and no marks are awarded or deducted for unanswered questions.
