The course develops skills in designing and analyzing efficient algorithms using complexity analysis, divide-and-conquer, dynamic programming, greedy methods, graph algorithms, transform-and-conquer, backtracking, branch and bound, and approximation techniques. It also covers string matching, computational geometry, advanced sequence-processing techniques, and computational complexity classes.
