This course introduces the .NET ecosystem and C# programming, including object-oriented programming, LINQ, generics, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and SOLID principles. It also covers ASP.NET Core MVC, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, authentication and authorization, and the development and testing of RESTful Web APIs.

Project 50%

Develop a responsive ASP.NET Core MVC application by recreating the interface of a given real-world website. CA3 is a project-based assessment evaluated for 30 marks: 10 marks for project presentation, 5 marks for viva voce, 5 marks for project report, 5 marks for code semantics and quality, and 5 marks for user interface design and implementation.

Rubric
To enable students to apply C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and Web API concepts to design and develop a complete industry-oriented web application.

Visual Implementation 50%

Design and develop a responsive ASP.NET Core MVC application that replicates the interface and functionality of a real-world website using concepts learned in the course. CA1 is a visual implementation assessment comprising 15 marks for written submission, 10 marks for code implementation, and 5 marks for viva, for a total of 30 marks.

Rubric
To develop students' ability to translate visual designs into responsive and functional web applications using ASP.NET Core MVC, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and C#.

Test - Code based 50%

Apply C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server to solve programming and application development problems. CA2 is a code-based MCQ examination consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions assessing understanding of Backend Development Using ASP.NET Core. Each correct answer earns one mark, 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer, and unanswered questions receive no marks or deductions.
