This course introduces Python programming fundamentals and covers conditional and iterative statements, functions and recursion, core data structures, object-oriented programming, file handling, exceptions, and regular expressions.

Programming Practice 30%

Students will complete approximately 254 coding problems, including static questions, and 70 MCQs on a selected third-party platform, with questions distributed across the complete syllabus. Eligible marks out of 15 are prorated according to the percentage of total questions correctly solved and further prorated using the percentage scored in the proctored Coding Contests (CAs).

Week 2 / 14

Rubric
Students must solve at least 50% of the coding problems and at least 50% of the MCQs to be eligible. Both conditions are mandatory. Eligible marks are calculated from the percentage of total coding problems and MCQs correctly solved and then prorated according to performance in the proctored Coding Contests.

Test - Code based 1 40%

The test will be of 45 minutes duration and will be conducted in offline mode.
