Student needs to generate revenue or income through entrepreneurial or Freelancing activities using professional skills like sale of tissue-cultured ornamental plants, micropropagation of local crops, content creation, event management, tutoring venture. Rubrics: Relevance to course and Business Strategy: 7.5 marks; Revenue Generated: 17.5 marks (10 marks for Rs 10,000/- and 2.5 marks per 5000/- thereafter up to 25,000/-); Reflection & Learning Outcomes: 5; Total: 30 marks.

Test 1 50%

The test will have 6 questions of 5 marks each from syllabus: Introduction (historical background, concepts and basic techniques in tissue culture, media preparation and optimization, cell, tissue and organ culture, organogenesis, explant preparation & sterilization techniques); Callus and Suspension Culture (initiation and maintenance of callus cultures, initiation and maintenance of suspension cultures, types of callus culture); Micropropagation (micropropagation and its stages, somatic embryogenesis, embryo culture, embryo rescue, applications of micropropagation); Somatic Hybridization (protoplast). Rubrics: Understanding problem: 05 marks; content: 10 marks; clarity of concept and method used to answer the problem/question: 15 marks.
