FSC105 — Forensic Dermatoglyphics And Impression Analysis Laboratory

Students will be provided with one or more forensic case scenarios based on real-life or simulated investigations. They are required to carefully analyze the given situation, identify the forensic issues involved, apply appropriate scientific principles, interpret the available evidence, and propose scientifically justified conclusions. Responses should demonstrate critical thinking, logical reasoning, scientific accuracy, and the appropriate use of forensic terminology.

To assess students' ability to analyze real-life forensic scenarios.

1. Attendance, discipline, and professional conduct during the visit (5). 2. Active participation and interaction with industry/experts through questions, discussions, engagement (10). 3. Observation skills and maintenance of field/observation notes (10). 4. Individual laboratory/industry visit report covering content, analysis, organization, reflections, presentation (15). 5. Individual Viva-Voce/quiz based on observations, instruments, workflow, and learning outcomes (10).
