Student will be maintaining a tutorial notebook in which he will be solving the allocated numerical problems chapter wise. Tutorial notebook will be evaluated 2 times; once before MTT and secondly after MTT. Both evaluations will be of 15 marks (5 marks for each chapter). In between during the term, surprise checking of tutorial notebook will be done by the concerned faculty member.
Week 2 / 13Conceptual and Numerical problems covering Unit 1 and Unit 2
Week 3 / 4Student will be allocated the projects in a team of 2-4 students that is distributed into 2 activities. Activity 1 includes the design and fabrication of complex shapes and locating its centroid, then it is verified analytically. Further the Moment of Inertia is to be calculated. Activity 2 includes the design and fabrication of basic trusses for application. Competition will be held for the same.
