Environmental Studies examines environmental components, ecosystems, natural resources, biodiversity, pollution, disaster management, environmental policies, sustainable development, and relationships between environmental phenomena and human communities. It develops understanding of current environmental issues and methods for conservation and pollution reduction.

Assignment - Field / industrial visit based 50%

A group-based activity where every group has to make an AI-based product on a given topic of environmental relevance and then promote it on social media platforms to generate environmental awareness. Marks distribution: quality of the product - 20, social media coverage - 30, and written report - 50.

Week 3 / 10

Rubric
To make the student understand environmental problems and propose solutions by engaging them in fieldwork-based assignments and individual participation.

Test 1 50%

Total 30 MCQs from Unit-I to Unit-III. Each question will carry one mark.

Week 5 / 6

Rubric
To check student learning and conceptual understanding of environmental problems and their solutions.

Test 2 50%

Total 30 MCQs from the syllabus covering Unit-I to Unit-V. Each question will carry one mark.

Week 11 / 12

Rubric
Optional Test: To provide an opportunity to students to improve CA performance in case of low CA or a missed class test.
