Welcome to LPU Notes ("we," "us," "our," or the "Site"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. If you are under the age of 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service, and they must agree to these Terms on your behalf.   • Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you have authorized them. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Security Breach: You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section.
  • Account Prohibitions: You agree not to share your account credentials, create an account for anyone other than yourself, use another user's account without permission, or impersonate any person or entity.

3. Content and Acceptable Use

  • Access to Content: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the study notes, resources, and other materials available on the Site for your personal, non-commercial, educational purposes only.
  • User-Generated Content: You may be able to upload, post, or share content such as notes, comments, or other materials ("User Content"). You retain all ownership rights to your User Content.
  • License to Us: By posting User Content, you grant LPU Notes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the User Content in connection with providing and promoting the Service.
  • Content Restrictions: You agree not to upload, post, or share any User Content that:
    • Infringes on any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights.
    • Is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, harassing, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
    • Promotes illegal activities, academic dishonesty, discrimination, bigotry, racism, or hatred.
    • Contains viruses, malware, or any other malicious code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
  • Engaging in any data mining, scraping, crawling, or using any process or robot to access, collect, or monitor data from the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network or breach any security or authentication measures.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the access of any user, host, or network, including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, or mail-bombing the Service.
  • Posting false, inaccurate, or misleading information, including submitting plagiarized materials or engaging in any form of academic dishonesty.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Our IP: The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of LPU Notes and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
  • User Content: As stated above, you retain ownership of your User Content. We do not claim ownership, but you grant us a license to use it as necessary to operate the Service.
  • Copyright Infringement: We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content on the Site infringes your copyright, please contact us with the necessary information to process a takedown request.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, THAT THE CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, OR ERROR-FREE. THE STUDY MATERIALS ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A SUBSTITUTE FOR OFFICIAL COURSEWORK OR ACADEMIC ADVICE.

Limitation of Liability: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LPU NOTES, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by LPU Notes (e.g., Google reCAPTCHA, advertising partners). We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any such content or services.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Punjab, India, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
